There is a recurring message from Republic, which refers to the development of the Midwest brand.

The release is foreshadowing the Midwest brand becoming Frontier.

You're right. This is the first time I have seen Republic even remotely acknolwedge that Frontier may be the favored brand. Maybe we're reading between the lines a little too closely, but they'll have to take their time with the actual integration if the Midwest name indeed goes away over the long-term.

I think that once Milwaukee folks warm up to it, Frontier could still be branded as the carrier most-rooted in the city. It's not a bad carrier to have in your backyard, that's for sure.

Great point! Maybe they can brand themself as the airline that added 3,000 additional people to the local unemployment role. Is that what you meant with the most rooted airline to serve Milwaukee? It would seem more concise to call "Midwest" the airline that added the most to the local tax burden. You may be on to something. How about the Midwest Express, Midwest Airlines, TPG/Northwest airlines, Republic, Frontier Airlines center. That would drive home the whole hometown airline advertising.

Thanks for your contribution. By "most rooted" in Milwaukee, I am referring to having the most flights at Mitchell.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

I agree. I don't see why SM would navigate away from products and strategy that is working in Denver. I wouldn't be surprised if they added a signature section on the Airbus' for increased revenue. If they add it to the E190's, although just extra leg room, it shows their at least interested in the different seating arrangements.

Does this also for shadow that Midwest's office functions will be moving to Denver?

Can Midwest and Frontier communicate as to their pricing and revenue management? I am not sure since its illegal for separate airlines to communicate their pricing, is it the same to two subsidiaries owned by the same company?

+1.

I think all this is being discussed and plotted. The Republic honchos have a general plan, but are forming their team that will come up with the specific plan. Sean will help lead that. The short mention of Midwest and its placement is classic corporate foreshadowing.

I do think they will move carefully. the Midwest brand still commands tremendous loyalty. I recently did research for one of my companies. We can speculate all we want, but the average Milwaukee area air traveler still has tremendous respect for Midwest and will fly it no matter what it is or who owns it. They could care less about the nuances that we worry about, or who is flying the planes or who makes the planes. If Midwest has a nice price for a flight---they will buy it.

Republic knows this, of course, and will slowly introduce the Frontier brand into MKE in such a way that the average flyer will think it is the new Midwest. If they change it at all. We shall see.

No Midwest planes, no Midwest Pilots, no signature seating on Airbii, the sooner they call it all Frontier the better IMO.
