DiningBuzz! - Your favorite Ben and Jerry flavor?

Ok, I liked Pistachio Pistachio, and I miss Totally Nuts. But the other day I tried the new Mission to Marzipan thing. I just couldn't believe that it hasn't been attempted earlier. It's now my favorite flavor.

What's yours favorite Ben and Jerry flavor?

Probably a tie between chocolate chip cookie dough and cookies and cream ("boring" I know).. Though the Dublin Irish Creme, Vanilla Haeth Bar Crunch, Cake Batter, and Cinnamon Roll, all score very highly with me.

mmmmm...

I've never been to a B&J's store, although I have been to the factory in Vermont. ^

New York Super Fudge Chunk was my very first B&J's experience, and I still think that must have more "stuff" in it than any other ice cream on the market. The big chunks make it kind of hard to eat, though.

Otherwise, my favorite is probably Hubby Hubby -- which unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately!) we don't have among our limited choice of B&J flavors in France.

I'll have to go with Bohemian Raspberry because it tastes good and because of my screen name, but in the US the same flavor is called Dave Matthews Magic Brownies. New York Super Fudge Chunk is at the top of my list as well. I'll have to check out this Mission to Marzipan. Oh yeah, Cherry Garcia is pretty high on my list too. No pun intended.

What I do find frustrating, is that many many great flavors are not widely available at all. I have been looking for the Mission to Mazipan for days but could not find a store that carries them. Same for Dublin Mudslides, Magic Brownies, etc. etc. This is in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and I have looked in four or five chains.

Kama Sutra seems to be the new flavor that every store carries nowadays, in addition to classical flavors.

If you can only carry two to three flavors, why settle for chocolate and vanilla?

What's the difference between Chubby Hubby and Hubby Hubby? I don't think we have the latter here in Arizona.

I went to a small, private college in Vermont and we used to get Ben and Jerry's in the dining halls. No joke. There was also a store in town.

Man, I gained so much weight. But I tried every flavour under the sun.

I would definitely say Phish Food - the chocolate fish were perfection. ^

I think Hubby Hubby is a limited edition of Chubby Hubby to celebrate the DP law passed in Vermont.

I found Mission to Marzipan at Walgreen's. Any options like that for you? Or will any store order if you request? ("did you find everything you were looking for...").

Coffee heath bar crunch, without a doubt

Whats weird is, sometimes I get dud pints where there's maybe 1 tiny piece of heath bar, and that's it. Othertimes, it might as well be an entire heath bar inside the pint.

Usually I like things with lots of flavors, so Phish Food and Everything But usually works. However, I love the warm buttery sweet tastes in Strawberry Cheesecake, and Karmel Sutra has got this deep well of caramel right through the center -- I'm a sucker for caramel! I also like vanilla heath bar crunch in a pinch :)

I was having a bad week last week, complete with a migraine one day so I picked up a pint of Cookie Dough and some Redi-Whip on the way home. Thinks markedly improved! :D
