Air France Frequence Plus - Gran Canaria to CDG via Madrid on AF (Air Europa metal)

As part of a trip from the US to Spain and France in January, I will be flying on an Air France ticket from Gran Canaria, Spain (LPA) to Paris CDG, connecting in Madrid (MAD). The actual routing is Air Europa metal (but ticketed with AF flight number) from LPA to MAD and then Air France metal from MAD to CDG. A few questions:

1. Can I perform online checkin for the LPA-CDG trip on the Air France website using my Air France booking code, even though the first segment (LPA-MAD) is operated by Air Europa?

2. At the LPA airport on day of departure, do I present myself at the Air Europa (or the AF, if there is one) ticketing/baggage check area?

3. I have a 2 hour layover in MAD between the Air Europa-operated flight and the Air France flight. Is 2 hours a reasonable amount of time for the connection? Will I need to go through any immigration or customs?

4. I will be checking 1 suitcase. I am assuming this should check through all the way to CDG - if I am incorrect or there are any issues to be aware of, please advise.

Thank you.

Here are some answers :
1- you have nothing to lose to try but I'm not sure it will work. If you check-in at the airport, for sure they'll be able to give you your 2 BP
2 - yes, air Europa. AF does not have counters there, simply because they don't fly there
3- more than enough time. No immigration, no customs neither in MAD, nor in CDG. Canary islands are part of Spain and Spain & France are both in the Schengen area.
4- yes

Enjoy your flights

You actually should be able to check-in online. I have had the same issue and it worked without problems. It was BEY-CDG-MAD with the BEY-CDG on AF flight number but MEA metal. AF check-in without problems.
