I have called the RTW desk at AA and made a reservation for my desired RTW Trip. I've also gotten it rated by Dublin. Here is my itinerary:

LHR-MRU-JNB-HKG-DEL-xHKG-TPE-NRT-HNL-SFO-xDFW-ANC-ORD-YUL-xJFK-HEL-LHR

I am now attempting to purchase the ticket. I am wondering what my options are. I know I can book it online, but there I pay the higher British Airways fare. I would like to pay the American Airlines fare I was quoted. If I call American Airlines in the UK, will they accept my American credit card to make the purchase? Alternatively, is there a way to phone AA in Canada to make a purchase through Canada so I can pay the lower UK price.

As a final alternative, can anybody recommend a good travel agent in either Canada or the UK who can purchase my ticket for me and send me the e-Tickets, at a decent price that wouldn't eat into my savings by booking it through AA instead of BA?

Thank You for your help and advice. As always, any comments, recommendations, or improvements on my itinerary are requested and appreciated.

I have never had trouble with foreign AA stations accepting US credit cards for purchase of RTW tickets.

AA UK seems to have little problems with Australian CCs , so would be surprised if there was an issue with US cards

To purchase my ticket in the UK, do I just need to call the number provided on the American Airlines Worldwide Reservations webpage? 00 44 (0) 207 365 0777 or is there another more specific phone number that I should call?

Thank you for your help.

Better double check the ANC as I could not book it last spring as it was codeshare not using AA metal. Might have changed??

It's changed again - AA has loaded its own metal flights ORD-ANC as well as DFW-ANC into the schedules for next summer, which is good news. I wish they'd have one flight up there all year round though.
