I am arriving from LAX via FRA and have 105 minutes to catch a flight to Tromso on a Saturday. As I understand it I will clear customs etc pick up luggage and then recheck. As there are no later flights on Saturday I booked this tight connection. Will I have a major problem or is it doable.
You should be fine :) 105 mins should even give you a little buffer in case of any delays too.

Thank you for the quick reply. Eases my mind quite a bit.

I feel stupid not being 100% sure about the passport controls but, I'm pretty sure since you changed in FRA, your passport control will be done in FRA and not in OSL. So all you will have to do is walk down the terminal (max. 5min) and pickup your bag and drop-it one floor up to a drop-bag counter. Security has to be redone though...
All could be done in 45min if needed. But since there is no domestic lounge available, I would take as much time as possible to go through the process, just to kill time...

baggage claim can take far more than 5min in OSL - plan half an hour to be safe. Priority baggage usually not works.
Similar for baggage-drop - however works better if you're *S/+. And of course, no fast track for domestic connections. Welcome to Norway.

Unless there is an extra ID-control at the gate at arrival, is there no passport control between FRA and OSL

The 5min referred to the walking time to baggage reclaim ;-) in some airports, crossing the terminal can take 20+ min and should be accounted for.
One good thing about Norway is that the bag-drop system is well known now so it really is just a bag-drop. In many other places it says bag-drop but it really is a fully operational check-in desk with the associated waiting time.

Flying in to Norway via OSL is always boring, have to do bagage/security again, and as mentioned no lounge. However when coming from domestic going abroad through OSL is another story, baggage is checked through, no new security and as well Business and Gold Lounge. So on the way back you really dont need more than 10 minutes to walk from domestic gate to intl gate.
