I've found some V class tickets to MNL out of SFO. I read that these tickets are of course in economy class and you don't earn any points. Is there anything else I should know about these tickets? Like are they located right next to the bathroom or something? Roundtrip from SFO to MNL is only $375 but about 16 hours of flight.
Thanks!

With a "V" class ticket, you are entitle to any economy seats in the plane (probably except the emergency exit seats unless you pay extra for it).
Besides mileage, I think another catch is that you cannot change the departure dates and get a refund when you cancel the ticket.
If you are not interested in clocking mileage and your dates are really fixed, I think it is quite a good deal.

You can buy similar tickets from a consolidator (or SQ website) but earn miles for around $100-150 more if miles are important...
OF course they are, otherwise you wouldn't be here on FlyerTalk !!

hehe, yes I am becoming a bit of a miles junkie. I found some Q class tickets for $770. I haven't run across any "real" consolidator companies yet. I called a few that I found online but the prices they quoted me, I had already found online. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

You can't earn miles in Q class either...
What are your dates? I'll check up from my sources...
Edited update 9Oct09: Lowest fares I can find are in "W" class which earns miles and are around US$800-US$880 plus tax. You may also try UA which has fares around US$700 or so region and they also give you full miles.
The reason why SQ is more than OZ is because it has to fly further south than MNL and then 'backtrack' to MNL. Whereas OZ flies a shorter distance.
