SAS EuroBonus - Continental miles on Eurobonus card ?

Planning a Continental flight BRU-EWR (economy), outbound Oct 25th, return Oct 31st. On the Continental website, I read that CO is leaving SkyTeam Oct 24th and will be joining Star Alliance Oct 27th.

So, what about Oct 25th? Will I be able to save the miles (of both flights) on my EBG card?
And... will Star Alliance give me access to their lounges with a Continental ticket and an EBG card on Oct 25th? Technically they can refuse for the outbound flight I suppose... but for the return flight that shouldn't give a problem? Anybody in similar situations ?

I think you could be out of luck on the outbound, especially since they probably have a contract lounge in BRU. It never hurts to try though. It looks like they have a few days in Limbo where they don,t belong anywhere. I would try to send CS an e mail and see if they confirm access, then bring that e mail with you. Happy travels;)

Tons and tons of info on these issues in the CO forum... As not directly related to Eurobonus and SAS I would seek info over there.

So now that CO is in *A, what booking classes on CO earn full points in EB? I looked on the EB site (for Estonia) and CO is not mentioned at all. I'm about to book a flight that may involve flying on CO, so I want to make sure I'm earning 100% points for the flight.

Anyone who knows what the typical price for a trans Atlantic in booking class G is?

This may be a bit OT, but what a great website CO have!

You can actually book a specific class of service and make sure, you earn 100 % EB points. Perfect for tailoring a quick mileage run/trying out CO next time I have a day off in the US.

A warm welcome to CO!

Well.... A funny thing (same on UA site) is that Finland is not a country that can be selected. AFAIK, it is impossible to book any flights when your CC has a billing adress in Finland. Considering KF is a regional *A member this is odd, and very irritating as I would love to try CO, but will stick to AC due to my CC.

I've never had any problems booking on US carrier websites with a Finnish credit card - I just used our office address in the US and that worked just fine. I've never tried that on Continental's website, though, but the same principle should work. Just use an office/friend/hotel address.
