Ive now made two onboard dutyfree purchases on KLM flights and not seen any of the miles. Im wondering if the points ever get credited to your flying blue account.

If so, after how long?

Thanks in advance....

Normally within 2 weeks. Sometimes they post, sometimes you have to retroclaim.

I have never been credited for miles when I purchased on AF flight.(nobody asked for my FB mumber)
Is it specific to KLM or did I miss something?

What seems to be specific for KL is that out of ~10 times I gave my number to a shop at AMS (and twice on a plane) I was only credited once!

Shops at AMS is/was a real disaster. Shopping on a plane, I missed half of them, but got all eventually with retroclaim. So at last I never missed a mile from onboard shopping.

You get miles in the shops at AMS also? :-: That's news to me.

No, he's not the only one. I got these once also. ;)

But onboard purchases I received (as said: half the time I needed to retroclaim) all. And another thing: long time ago they did not miss the miles but the CC-slip. I complained four times about this (yeah, I also complain for these sort of mistakes) but my purchase (sunglasses for 199 guilders back then) was never put on my CC - so these glasses came for free.

You used to, not any more.

The See Buy Fly miles always used to take an age to credit, so I'd normally post in the receipts when I was retroclaiming something else.

What surprised me is that some of the receipts I lost (only small transactions) did end up crediting automatically almost a year after I made the purchases. So with a combination of retroclaiming and some automatic posting I had 100% success with See Buy Fly.

It's a shame they couldn't get this working as well as BAA Worldpoints, their points usually credit within a day. Although BAA points are (almost) useless if you don't collect BD diamond club (or Virgin) miles.

As for someone asking if you earn miles on board with AF - I did ask that once, and they'd never heard of such a thing (and the cabin crew member did check with her purser). With KL on board credits I think I had a 75% success rate for automatic credit.
