Looks like AYCJ was a success in terms of driving traffic in September. RPMs were up 9.8% over last year and revenue passengers up 12.3%. These numbers are way ahead of any of the other airlines that have reported thus far. Now we have to wait another two weeks to see how successful it was financially.

From that same link:

JetBlue's preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile for the month of September decreased nine percent year over year.

Not so good.

I'm actually somewhat impressed that they added 9% APMs in the month. Most other carriers are still cutting.

and most carriers' yield is still decreasing by 15-20% in addition to cutting capacity which is a double whammy for them.

Also an excellent on-time performance-- 88.7%, up from 80.9% last year. They beat CO, FWIW.

All my flights this month on AYCJ were on time, even the couple that pushed late. I'd love to check to the old schedules to see how much more padding there is in the schedules this year.
