Budget - Refunding 75 mile surcharge after the fact

I did a quick one day rental and in the rush to get off the lot I didn't examine the receipt before leaving. 3 days later I am cleaning out the travel bag and notice that I got hot with the $13.99 and associated taxes. I did buy gas before returning it and had/have a receipt, I was just never asked for it. Do I stand a chanve with calling for a refund or take it as a lesson of life?

Since you have a receipt, it shouldn't be a problem. Call Customer service, and they may ask you to fax it to them. I've successfully had the 13.99 removed after the fact.
