South - Hotel near ATL Hartsfield Jackson

I'm looking for a nice hotel near the airport, which will shuttle me to the airport. It's usually cheaper to fly from ATL, whether in terms of dollars or points (Delta). So I intend to drive to Atlanta, use points to stay in a nearby hotel, then use the hotel shuttle to the airport. A typical scenario might be: rent a car, drive to Atlanta on Sunday, check in to a hotel for overnight, then shuttle to ATL on Monday to catch the flight. Any thoughts or suggestions? I have status at Hilton, Marriott, Priority and SPG.
Thanks, all.

My favorite hotel at ATL is the Renaissance Concourse hotel:

When ATL built the present midfield terminal complex, the old terminal was razed, and the land was sold to Stouffer, who built and opened the hotel just before the merger of Stouffer into Renaissance.
The rooms are large, and completely soundproof. If you like to plane-spot, ask for a room on the runway side. A free, frequent shuttle takes you the short distance to and from the airport entrance.

For that plan, Hampton Inn at ATL.

I can only speak to the hilton family hotels, of which just about all the brands are represented. I like the Hilton, 2Tree, HGI, and Hampton, in that order. I would not recommend the ES. The HGI is the furtherest away, although still not far, and all have shuttles.

That ES is the worst I have seen. The HGI has the greatest staff.

Man, I can't believe that I wrote 'furtherest' :( :o
I was writing in a hurry and in my head it sounded good.

I only have experience with the ATL Hilton, which was ok for the room and lounge, not so much for the restaurant. If you select it, make sure to reserve a seat on the shuttle for your preferred time. I have seen unhappy faces on those who failed to do so. In fact, no matter where you stay, it's a good idea to ask about shuttles when checking in.

I've stayed at both the Renaissance Concourse and the Westin Atlanta Airport. Enjoyed both and both provide shuttle service.
