Hi all,

I'm still working out the details of a trip I'm taking on 1 JAN 2010, but suffice to say that my original flight plan PWM-DTW-PVR fell apart when NW decided to not operate DTW-PVR that day.

So, my ONLY options now on DL for 1 JAN 2010 are PWM-ATL/JFK-MEX-PVR.

I speak solid Spanish and have travelled much in Mexico -- I have not, however, been to the new T2 terminal and I certainly haven't made a Int'l to Domestic transfer there.

There is very little usable information out there about DL->AM connections in MEX T2. I'm hoping that some of you who do this regularly (or at least in 2009!) can help calm my nerves about this.

My last trip to MEX took about 90 mins to clear immigration! I'm looking at about a 2 hour connection time between my DL flight and my AM flight to PVR.

I'd really appreciate any tips/advice that anyone can toss my way about this type of connection in MEX these days in T2 Terminal. Will I be required to collect my bags still and clear immigration and customs, or will I just clear immigration in MEX and then clear Customs in PVR.

Very very confusing. I sincerely appreciate any guidance you can send my way.

two hours should be enough. youŽll clear immigration first, then youŽll go to customs area but bye showing them your BP for the connecting flight they will not ask you for the customs form. Then youŽll have to out and back in trough security, but those lines are almost never crowded.

The new T2 is very easy to get around in. The last time we arrived on an international flight we were through immigration in less than 15 minutes. One thing to note is that your luggage will be checked all the way through to PVR and you will show your customs papers upon arrival there.

Don't worry, this will be easy....
