Midwest Airlines Midwest Miles - Southwest says "It's On!"

Anyone else catch the ads yesterday saying "It's on, Milwaukee"?

Southwest is stepping up the fare war out of MKE , $49-99 each way to BWI, PHX, and others that I didn't catch.

I have never flown WN, and haven't heard great things, but if I can fly down to see the inlaws in December for under $150, I might just give them a try.

Can Republic/Midwest survive this fare war?

They have been doing heavy advertising in the Milwaukee market for over a month now. No doubt SW is going to be popular in MKE. But we have to remember there is only 12 non stop flights from MKE. The route map they put on the TV Screen is pretty deceptive if you ask me. They even have MKE - MSP on the map. I am sure you have to fly to MCI to get to MSP though. :)
