We will be flying on AM from NRT to MEX. We booked thru Orbitz and looking at their seatmap it appears it's a 3-3-3 configuration. Seatguru still shows a 2-3-2 for the 762. Has Aeromexico added two seats in Coach?

EXLEFTSEAT Oct 4, 09, 11:48 pm I think Orbitz is showing a 777 seatmap, which would explain the discrepancy. Or maybe AM is upgrading service to a 777? If there are any fliers who took AM in or out of NRT lately could shed some light on this, I would appreciate it. ricardobtg Oct 5, 09, 8:54 pm If the seatmap on orbitz shows you 3-3-3 then your flight will indeed be a 777 one. The 767 substitution is recent and was supposed to be temporary. Hopefully your flight remains on the 777 as the experience will be much more pleasant on the new 777s vs the rather outdated 767s. Hopefully your flight remains on the 777 as the experience will be much more pleasant on the new 777s vs the rather outdated 767s. The Orbitz seatmap does indeed show a 777 config but states it's a 767. In any case, I called Aeromexico yesterday and they confirmed it will be a 777 indeed. I personally would have preffered the 767 because my SO and I could be in a two seat row. Unless UA's 777 ( although I understand they are switching configs ) the AM version is of the 3 seat configuration. Should the flight be full it would mean an unpleasant ride, sharing with an extra pax, and one of us would be stuck in a middle seat. The good thing seems to be that Seatguru states it's a 34" pitch on the 777 compared to a 32" on the 767. We'll have to wait and see. |
