I was booked on MI337 KUL-SIN last night. The aircraft had an engineering problem after arrival in KUL and did not take off. :td: The planed departure 6.05 pm was postponed to 6.30 pm. At 6.28 pm the staff confirmed that they still stick to it. Boarding in 2 min...interesting. :) Than no announcement for some time and people starting to get problems with their connections out of SIN. The handling staff (outsourced to KLAS local operator) was friendly but could not cope with the situation. No Silkair or SQ staff showed up. :mad: Finally they got me to SIN on SQ119 (last stand-by seat thanks to *G) but I missed my connection to BLR.:td: Knowing this in KUL already they told me that 'all will be arranged in SIN'. They can not do anything in KUL. No confirmed onward journey advice etc. Later I found out that the SQ supervisor had a VIP to look after for the SQ119flight. Talking to her she said that MI has there own flight manager 'this is not SQ'..? Where was that manager? It seems we are back to square 1 with SQ/MI... SQ outsource to MI and MI outsource to ground handling staff..all cheap but in times of problems = chaos .:mad:.I just image that would be an A380 with 4xx pacs and not only an A320 ...
