As I have stated before, this was my first time flying with WJ. A few comments about the whole experience.

Staff - very professional and helpful
Flights - smooth.... ontime and seamless
Personal tv - great selection of channels
Food and drinks - a bit pricey for beer and sandwiches
Pillows and blankets - should be free to use
Should offer duty free items to sell on the flight.
Checked baggage - no fees for up to 2 suitcases

I will look forward to flying WJ again. The flight times worked out great. It certainly helped that I used a fantastic Promo Code to drop the price.

Westjet fan here too. I like being efficient and on time - simple, no hassle flying. Sometimes the jokes are lame - could live without them, but the intent is to be friendly, so I recognize the effort. As opposed to the last AC flight I was on and the FA launched into a tirade and berated the paying passengers for asking simple questions.

Overall Westjet is a positive experience for me. The TV helps too.

Well, thanks for the positive and Negative!

As for pillows and blankets, we do carry a limited number of complimentary blankets on board.
The pillow/blanket combo pack is a reusable hypo-allergenic pillow with a blue fleece blanket (waring, do not use with light clothes lol)

The combo pack also includes an online cupon to purchase their products. They are rather comfortable and last a long time (the pillows, I have one...)

The drinks (alcohol) and Sandwiches cost the same between both carriers (to my most current knowledge)

Duty Free is being looked into. We have a spare space in the back galley and no one knows what's going in there as of yet. I'm excited!
