I'm looking at redeeming miles for a trip to BOM in December; the only non-Y availability to BOM is F. The trip there would be JFK-IST-BOM (yeah, I know, that's what I get for last minute plans. Not my fault :)). I've done research and have some questions.
1. JFK-IST is shown as a 777, but threads here suggest that it may be replaced by a different aircraft. What aircraft would replace it? How often does this happen?
2. I'll be arriving in IST at 0925; flight to BOM is at 1835. On the TK website, the tours of Istanbul are shown as leaving at 0900 or 1200*; can I catch up to the 0900 tour or do I need to wait for the 1200 one?

3. What lounge does TK use at JFK?
