Hi there!

I'm new here, so hello to all. And please forgive me if I posted this in the wrong place ;-)

Since August I have the need to fly AMS-ATH regularly. Joined FB since KLM seemed the natural choice, and started collecting miles. At this point I have somewhere around 22K level and award miles, and recently got upgraded to Silver since I passed 15+ legs.

My question is the following. I have a couple of flights planned for the next few months, with the last flights at the last days of the year. And yes, that last flight should be my 30th leg, meaning FB gold level.

The problem is that going to Silver took a few days, after finishing the 15th leg. If I fly my 30th leg December 30, and my existing level miles get cleared December 31 (source (http://www.klm.com/travel/nl_en/flying_blue/programme/how/index.htm)), will I still get upped to gold somewhere at the beginning of Jan 2010?

Second, slightly offtopic question...hope you dont mind me asking.
I have booked two economy 2-way flights AMS-PRA-ATH with CSA through vliegtickets.nl as well. CSA is Skyteam so it should give me the FB level miles (and 4 Flight segments per 2-way ticket). However how many miles I will get is unknown to me...CSA.cz does not seem to let me check the itinerary with an 'Airline locator' code. Is there any other way to figure out what kind of ticket I have? (B,H,M,Y and so on)

Thanks!

Flights that depart before 2359h on 31 December will count for this year, no worries.

Even a flight which depart at 2359h on 31 December will count for this year. ;)

And even when things go wrong (miles don't post and you have to retroclaim) things will be corrected, including your statuschange.

Thanks for your replies!
I'm glad that will be okey. Its kinda cool to get gold status in 6 months :)

I booked a couple of flights with CSA besides my normal KLM flights. What a difference, at least in online customer service. KLM takes almost a week to respond to a simple question about the FB program. CSA, upon sending an email to confirm a booking, responded within the hour. And this has actually happened a few times...CSA is consistently fast responding to service requests, while KLM takes ages for the most basic things. Kinda sad since KLM is by far the most expensive one.

Havent actually flown with CSA yet though, curious how that will be. Cant be much worse than KLM I guess ;-)
