I am thinking of redeeming a MH , KUL-EZE return flight. That flight goes via JNB/CPT.

What are the rules of VS' FFP awards? I tried looking under terms and conditions but couldn't find answer.

Can I make a stopover enroute to final destination?

Thank you !

Can some kind soul be kind enough to call VS FC for me? Where I am at the moment, I have internet access but no way to call to UK to get this answer.

Much appreciated !!

In the case of MH I would say the answer is yes you can make a stopover. If you look at the Partner terms and conditions it specifically states when stopovers are not permitted as in the case with Jet Airways or BMI shown below but for Malaysia there is no such restriction documented.

http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/us/frequentflyer/tsandcs/partnertermsandconditions.jsp

e) BMI

Spending miles:
Rewards are available on the bmi scheduled services but are not available for Palma, Venice or Alicante destinations. All flights are subject to availability and maybe limited during peak periods. No open jaw or stopovers permitted. A minimum of 7 days notice is required to secure a booking.

j) Jet Airways

Spending miles
Open jaws are permitted but stopovers and one ways are not permitted.
Routes are available on all Jet Airways’ domestic and international flights.
Redemption levels are based on individual sectors and not the total mileage of the journey.
To make a reservation, please contact your Flying Club helpline.
Blackout dates may apply.
Seats are subject to availability.
A minimum of 7 days notice is required to secure a reservation.

k) Malaysia Airlines

Spending miles:
On all Malaysia Airlines' international and domestic routes except MH9000 series code-shared flights. All reward flights are subject to availability. A minimum of 7 days notice is required to secure a booking.

Ooo. Thank you !!

I have looked at that link and I realised why I couldn't see the award T&Cs. They're under earning miles at each airline! Why can't they have a seperate section so that its easy for us to look it up!

Ok. Now I can work towards a F class ticket KUL-CPT-EZE-JNB-KUL.

Why not go to the VS Web site and post a question using the 'contact us' option if you're so remote to phone?
