Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - commodoro fast track qualification via 90.000km + 6 medium haul J-segments

hi,

the fast track to qualifying for commodoro status is 90.000km plus 6 medium haul segments in LA business class.
do these business class segments have to be on LAN metal or is it OK to take a codeshare with LA flight number?

These six segments have to be on LA flight code. So, all LA metal flights plus code share flights. On LANPASS account, there is a segment counter that tells you how many LA segments flown ("Total segments for qualifying"). My LA coded IB flight posted as a qualifying segment (SCL-MAD) so all LA coded codeshare flights also count towards this fast track option.

However, medium and long haul flights on partners don't count. So, make sure your booking is on LA coded flights.

^ for the info - then i am safe - have booked EZE-GRU-SCL-LIM-BOG-LIM-EZE-GRU-EZE end of october for a comodoro run :-) - all segements are on LAN metal.
this routing should include 6 medium haul sectors (EZE-GRU * 3 / GRU-SCL, SCL-LIM, LIM-EZE)

the price for the business class ticket EZE-GRU-EZE and GRU-BOG-GRU (with cool routing options) for a total price of 1600€ was just too tempting :-)

although the OW redemption rates have been generally increased i am still happy with LANPASS. on my favorite route MUC-LHR the awards became even cheaper (before: 40.000km, now: 18.000km for a roundtrip). my flying pattern brings me to south america and australia each twice a year. regarding km accumulation LANPASS is the best program for me. and i cannot think of any other program which boosts me to OW emerald for roundabout 3.400€ :rolleyes:
