Not long joined virgin flyer club. Have about 22000 miles to date. Due to fly out to Cape town tomorrow on South African Airline. Any top tips to get an upgrade using flyer club miles if need be.

Welcome to Flyertalk and the virgin Atlantic forum!^,
From your post , I assume you are flying on South African Airlines.
Unfortunately you cannot use miles to upgrade on other airlines ( apart from on Virgin Atlantic flights) so I think the only option is to pay cash for an upgrade or hope for an operational upgrade ( highly unlikely)
