Scheduled flight from PVG-NGO @1320.
Left 3 hours before the flight from my place and traffic was terrible!
One day before the National Holiday and the road to Pudong is under construction already for the last .......years!
Called the ANA airport desk and they told us we can still check in 45 min before departure (1235pm). Well ...............it was passed 1235 and we called them again and they said just go to the counter and see what arrangements can be made. Arrived at 1255 at the airport and straight to the check-in counter. They told us ...too bad no way you can make it as boarding is closed already. At the same time the supervisor made a few calls and the check-in lady took our passports ..........brrrrr........prrrrr..........brrrrr.... .....the luguage tags were printed!!!!WAAAAAAAAAA......they allowed us!!!!
Running with the suitcases together with the check-in lady and some other groundstaff. Cleared customs and security and ran to the gate ...............got on the plance 1320 and the door closed behind us..........
An Amazing Race and thankfull to the friendly groundstaff at Pudong that made their best effort!!!! Maybe it was also we travelled in Biz with an infant (they felt sorry for us?!?!?)
Anyways .........so many stories about China and poor service (incl myself telling these things) but this was truely GREAT!!!!!!!
