Is it possible to make a one hour connection (all on TP) in LIS from SVQ-LIS-LHR? Last time I had a one hour connection in ZRH for LHR I almost didn't make it because of the extra passport and security check. I haven't attempted a similar connection in LIS, so am not sure how efficient they are.

Is this on one ticket or two?

One ticket, but it is OBE by now. I decided to book a longer connection on IB through MAD.
There won't be a passport control since this is intra-EU. Follow signs for 'connections.' You should be fine, it's a small airport.

While I have no LIS experience, I should point out that this is not intra-schengen, so I would expect passport control!

You're right, it's not intra-schengen. However, once you're airside, the passport control is usually not an issue.

I wish! Had my first experience with LIS this week and hated it. In all other EU airports, passport control for EU citizens is a breeze. At LIS, the main duties of the few officers on duty (and I went through twice, once into Schengen to visit the lounge and once back again ex-Schengen to board my connection to Brazil) were chatting with each other and leaving for lunch break. The few who weren't occupied with these pastimes were unbelievable slow, scrutinizing each passport and their owners for ages. I haven't seen anything like it since the iron curtain fell.

"Welcome to Portugal!" As one of my PT colleagues said, everything is slower than southern Italy.

Arlanda Airport in Stockholm can be slow too — not because the passport control officers are slacking off but because they (sometimes) examine each passport and its holder very closely and (sometimes) there are only one or two channels open...
