Swiss International Airlines - Urgent UK flights to HKG... without costing a bomb!

Dear all flyertalker

I have been searching for the cheapest J fare to HKG. I am not bothered with the travel dates as long as it is within Oct (outbound). I know traveling from MAN would get me the cheapest J fare but after searching for 2 days on the net, the cheapest I came across was £19xx and it was from airmiles.com. Anyone kindly enough to give me some advice?

Using LX outbound and LH inbound, the cheapest fare is GBP 1705.- (i checked outbound 28/10, inbound 2/11). That's from LHR.

If departing from MAN, the best fare seems to be GBP 1697.- (same dates).

This fare is bookable via opodo.co.uk

Why not take TK as an alternative? They use the 77W to HKG with fully flat seats and the fare is just over 1400 GBP...

Thanks vienna-resident! I managed to get one from airmiles at the end for GBP 1540 which is pretty damn good for a LX return. However, I would like to know if the J class ticket would allow me to change the return date? Are there any time limits with regards to the return journey (say within 3 months?) Thanks!
