Flying into BKK on one itin and connecting to an ANA flight later in the day. As it's a long layover (and I've things to do) I'll probably head into town since TG will interline my bags.

However, does anyone know what time the ANA portion of the transfer desk is staffed? I'd prefer not to linger in town longer than I need, but also don't really want to wait until 9 or 10PM to get a boarding pass and re-clear security.

Flew some weeks ago with a similar routing. The luggage went through, however the boarding passes could only be issued at ANA's chech-in. ANA does not have a transfer desk in the transit area. The check-in desks open about 2.5-3 hours before the flight.

You can get a BP at the TG transfer desk handling NH transfers. Not sure how long before departure they will issue you one so if you go through immigration you might have to get your new BP at check-in on your way back to the airport.

That's what I was concerned about. Need to head into town anyway, but didn't want to be 'finding' things to do until night when I could return to the airport.

If I can't get a BP after transfer security then I'll know what situation I'm in.

Thanks for the info.

Well, arrived in BKK and transfer desk could not issue a BP. Decided to just go through the new transfer screening and to the lounge to 'test my luck'. TG lounge personel were fine with allowing entrance, just wrote down my name etc. Without a BP to go along I know UA will be happy to compensate TG on my behalf. :D

Now to get a few things done before heading into town.

I will need to wait until 9PM before checking in however.
