Officially, yes.

However, you can use the SQ F lounge which has better food/beverage offerings, though the space itself is somewhat dull.

You can even use both lounges without any problems whatsoever.

Hi, has the old London lounge gone downhill, or is it just getting old, my memory is that it was excellent, regards bkkrop

No, but you will get your buggy fix in BKK :D

I would actually prefer the SAS lounge to the SQ F lounge - that place is so grim, like visiting granma's house!

It's fine. If you've been spoiled by having spas/massage etc, it might seem a bit spartan, but simplicity seems to be the Scandinavian style. It's not intended as a 1st class lounge where the staff suck up and you're surrounded by opulence. It's a waiting area before short haul flights to Scandinavia that has been adopted by long haul airlines.

Where is the SQ Lounge in relation to the SAS Lounge? Does the SQ Lounge have showers?

SQ lounge does have showers - I think you need to ask at reception.

As you leave the duty free shop area, the London lounge is directly in front, and you need to turn left for the SQ lounge. They are not too far apart - 3-4 minutes' walk at most.

I go to the London Lounge to grab reading materials then head to the SQ lounge to sit down and have nibbles.

I’ve been to both, but once only and nearly two years ago. I liked the London Lounge. It had a bit of bustle; you could see people; it had working computers; light snacks; drink; was clean, bright and airy. Perhaps not somewhere to kill six hours but most lounges aren’t. The SQ Lounge just had row upon empty row of small chairs, neatly lined up with small tables. There was prepared food in a fridge, already plated and waiting for the cling film to come off. There was a bar which was not attended (it was morning) and the computers didn’t work. The window had a very restricted view of (mostly) walls and a tiny bit of tarmac. The lounge was deathly silent. I will be in the OP’s dilemma in December and fully expect to be calling in at the London Lounge; doubt I’ll bother with the SQ one.

They did provide a buggy in early September - I just asked at the entrance to the SK lounge. Worth it too - the gate was a long way away.

IIRC the buggy only goes from the SAS lounge.

I've never been offered the buggy in LHR. Is it an 'on request' service, or even better, self service? :)

On request from the front desk in the SAS lounge. Nothing offered on arrival.
