All Nippon Airways Mileage Club - 1 Hour Connection in NRT... possible?

I just realized that I am flying from PVG-NRT with ANA and then NRT-LAX with KE. What is the best advice someone can give me regarding my luggage? Should I (or can I) check in all the way through with ANA all the way to LAX even though KE is part of Skyteam? Or should I collect baggage in NRT, and recheck everything in again? Will 1 hour be enough time for this process? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have gone from CX to UA in about an hour.....I had to collect my luggage in NRT from the CX flight but did not have to recheck it on UA (I took it on as carry on.) Me thinks it should get checked thru for you, but not positive.

Hopefully I'm not hijacking this thread, but I have a 2 hour connection in NRT between ANA and NZ (international to international, Terminal 1 to 2.) With the inter-terminal bus seems like I should be fine, but want to make sure.

Major carriers can thru check bags no matter what.

Btw, how do you manage to do all that in an hour ? You have to go thru immigration in order to get to baggage claim, then go back in line for the immigration, and take the bus from T2 to T1. Were you doing all that when CX was still in T1 ?

Doesn't matter one world, star alliance, or skyteam. Major airlines have agreement with each other, so you bags can be thru check. The problem is NH usually use gate 50s, and KE usually use gate 20s. You better run fast for your connecting flight.

you should be able to interline your luggage thru LAX but transfer from T2 to T1 could take some time.

Incorrect, KE and NH use same terminal 1 in NRT, it is only about different satellites, you probably haven't been to NRT for several years since NH move in to T1.
