Sheena rides a limo

Why the limo? We took Sheena to Arizona and back for a few weeks, and, since Plymouth & Brockton bus lines will not accept animals, even one more refined than they, I hired a limo to bring us back to the Cape from Logan Airport.

For those of you new to the pet travel game, here are some pointers, all of which I had to learn as I went along, not having any idea of the ground transportation rules, the airline rules, the brain-dead TSA rules, or animal behavior on a long trip.

Interesting that Alonzo apparently never told her Sheena could have been screened in a private room. Heck, I didn't know it either until after my Adventures in Flying w/Cats last year, but one would have thought Alonzo, from the TSA, would know that (ok, never mind-silly me)

I'm surprised her experiences were so good @ BOS-certainly wasn't the case when I went thru. The TA, when we were checking in (4 humans, 4 cats in carriers, 1 mother in a wheelchair, 4 carry-on bags, & 8 checked pieces of luggage-wonder if that could have had something to do w/her bad mood?) actually wanted to 'see the cat stand up' in his carrier. Put the carrier on the counter & told her to discuss w/him directly as he was PO'd at me for having put him in it in the first place. I didn't even ask her why she needed to see him stand up in the carrier if the carrier had to fit under the seat & no full-sized cat could possibly stand up under there anyway!
