We will be traveling throughout Italy for 2 weeks, on/off trains, buses etc. I am looking to purchase a lightweight 24 or 26" bag. I had a 20" Tumi that only lasted 3 years. I am considering Eagle Creek or Briggs or Riley because of the warranty, but would appreciate any other suggestions. My three requirements are lightweight, warranty, and stylish.

Hi Frank! I have old Victorinox stuff that's quite heavy empty, but based on recommendations from FT, my boss bought Briggs & Riley last year and absolutely loves it. He also has Tumi luggage, and he has told me that he prefers the Briggs & Riley to the Tumi luggage for weight & durability.

I have had Eagle Creek for four years now and it has been around. The only problem I did have was a slit in my 30". No idea what caused it but I sent it for repair and asked that the opposite side be reinforced also just in case. No problem - no charge. My pieces still look almost new.
