Of course you have to consider where and how you will pack yours for your journey considering the TSA.
I put mine in my checked bag.

I can see using them at football games to sneak in booze. What's the travel connection? And if not alcohol-related, a basic water bladder (that goes in a camelback) will work as well. I think they cost about $2 for a liter or so.

I usually have a Runrunner flask in my checked suitcase. I prefer not to go into bars alone and don't like the prices in hotel mini bars.

Platypus Hydration also makes water bladders but their smallest size starts at 0.5L as these are more intended for hikers and people carrying water vs. alcohol.

Wow, your college classmates were so fancy! We just used ziplock bags! :D
Actually, this one time, we didn't have ziplock bags and we thought we could maybe use the normal kind of sandwich bag. That didn't work out so well, though. :( Damn those 8am jello shots!!
A rumrunner flask may have come in useful there... . ;)

Oh the good old days when all our parents had to worry about was booze and cigarettes!
