View Full Version : Train bookings on bahn.de not working?

I have been trying to book a train ticket from Frankfurt to Paris for January 21 through Deutsche Bahn's website, to no avail. When I do a search, the site says that both discount and full-fare tickets are available. But the booking always fails for any fare at any time of day ("Your booking request cannot be met"), saying that the train is full. For kicks I tried Stuttgart-Paris and had the same result.

Is it really true that there are no seats available on any train to Paris for that day, even though the site initially claims otherwise, or could the site be broken?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Site works fine for me. Just checked the english speaking service. Did you klick the "Check availabilty" box? I found a 49€ oneway ticket for an ICE leaving at 9:01am, Frankfurt Mainstation. So there should be seats available.

remember that it is a different country. ;)
you may run into problems because of that, but try again later.

From my home in FLL, I booked a discounted ticket on 09.01 (Wednesday afternoon local time) for travel beginning on 26.01 without any problem whatsoever.

Thanks all for your insight. I thought I'd clicked all the appropriate boxes and am still not sure what I was doing wrong. Anyhow I ended up booking my ticket through Rail Europe, luckily for the same as I would have paid buying it directly from DB. Thanks again.
