Hi,
I'm staying at the Schlosshotel in Berlin for a work event in late Nov.
Would like some recommendations for fine dining ( I'll look at Michelin, but like real recommendations ).
Also wanted to keep up with my running program - any ideal routes to recommend in the area ? It looks like the Grünewaldsee might be a place along the water. Does anyone know if there is a path that is pedestrian friendly?

Thanks!

Joe

Haven't been there, but Fischers Fritz (http://www.fischersfritzberlin.com/) (The Regent) has recently been awarded 18 Gault Millau points. If you go, let us know how it was - I'm going to stay & eat there next January!

Excuse me - but I don't have time to look things up (the proper German names) tonight. If the area you're talking about for running is the path that starts about where the government buildings are - near the Reichstag - along the river - but on the other side from the train station - it looks like a great place for running. I don't know how far it goes - but we took a long walk there from our hotel - Ritz Carlton. In between the RC and the "riverwalk" - there was a park. I'm sure you could combine a really nice run in the park - and along the river. Check with your hotel concierge for the best routing.

I second the recommendation for Vau as a solid one star Michelin restaurant. I can also recommend Vitrum at the Ritz Carlton (one star Michelin but tastes like two). Robyn
