A question for the FT MR Experts....

I need to accrue 5400 EQM on UA for 1P by the end of the year and have never done a MR. I've been searching and reading through FT to make sure I'm maximizing my cpm. Here's what I've come up so far...

IAD-SFO-BUR-SFO-IAD

Total EQM: 5838
Cost: $259.61
CPM: .044

This is back and forth same day.. so no hotel cost.

Would you do it? Is this a good MR?

TYIA....:D

Buy a e-cert off ebay or get one off coupon connection. $100 off certificates are selling for about $20 yeilding a net savings of $80 ^

in todays market, i think your run is ok....i guess that you think 1p is worth it, which is the determining factor....i once did 2 back to back dfw-zrh runs....20k+ qmi for $1100 plus parking to get exp on aa the 1st year that bis mi could qualify [over 5c/qmi, less than 3c/rdm]....it was worth it to me to spend my social security on it....good luck

If you are doing the MR to get to 1P and it gets you to 1P, then it's a good MR. Hopefully you can u/g the transcons.

Thank you all for your help and insight! I truly appreciate it!:D

Unfortunately, I'm not able to get to the Coupon Connection on FT because I don't have enough posts. (I think you need 90) Anyway, I bought an e-cert off of ebay.

So, my first MR will net me:

Total EQM: 5838
Cost: $159.61 (with $100 ecert)
CPM: .027

And a long day of travel :p

Thanks again for your help!!!

PS... how many e-certs can one pax use? Is there a limit?

One per itinerary as long as the base fare is over $100. In your situation, you might consider booking it as 2 one-ways and burning a voucher on each. The problem with seperate PNRs comes in when irregular operations affect your first itinerary. UA may not be so nice about fixing your seperate second itinerary. Change fees and fare differences can destroy the savings found in your e-certs. Hitting your next elite tier for under $200 is not a bad investment in my book.
