Having seen a few itinerary threads in here (or suggestions for them), I figure I'll throw mine up as well - I'd greatly appreciate any feedback on it.
Some parts of it are intentionally left blank to accomodate shifting plans e.t.c., but ideas are very welcome as well ;)

The trip itself is a much-needed vacation, and at this time limited to only visiting Australia (I'll chalk up NZ for next time)

Arrive in Sydney Nov 29th
Cousin arriving Dec 7th
Sydney until December 10th (cruise, bridge, the usual)?
Rainbow Beach / Fraser Island, December 11th - 14th
Byron Bay, 15th - 19:th (not decided on this one just yet! Loved the place last time though ;) )
Blue mountains, 20th - 23rd?
Christmas with the family (near Sydney), 23rd / 24th - 27th/28th?
Sydney, beaches e.t.c. December 29th - January 2nd
Cairns, the reef: January 3rd - 7th
Uluru e.t.c: 8th - 10th
Cousin flies back on the 15th
Fly back on the 23rd

Looks like you've given yourself plenty of time which is great. What are you planning after Uluru?

You might want to consider Melbourne + the Great Ocean Road + the Grampians, Adelaide + Barossa Valley + Flinders Ranges or the Margaret River area south of Perth.

Note that this period is during the peak of the summer school holidays so if you need to be sure of accommodation it might be worth thinking it through in advance.

Three days in the Blue Mountains....really?

I think that is probably two days too many :)

Nothing really planned as such after Uluru, though I'll probably meet up with a few friends here and there and see what they're up to.
That said, Barossa Valley does sound intriguing - I'm a sucker for a good wine ;)

Cheers!

No idea why actually, other than there seemed to be quite a few hiking trails to (painfully) endure - perhaps I should re-think that and spend more time doing something else? :)

As was suggested, and given how much time you have, I'd probably add Melbourne and maybe Perth/Margaret River Valley, although it's obviously a long flight. I never got up to Broome, but would have liked to see it. We also spent four days in Darwin/Kakadu National Park, which is worth seeing, although it is out of the way somewhat. We flew there from Uluru, and then after that flew to Perth. I agree with the other poster that the Blue Mountain stay seems excessive.
