i'll be doing a mileage run to new zealand next week and had originally planned to take the airbus from akl to the hyatt for my one night's stay. thanks to Kiwi Flyer, i know the route has changed and the bus has fewer stops...is it still a good way to get to the hyatt or is a cab a better alternative? clearly i won't be renting a car for my 18 hours in town...and i'm trying to keep costs down, but i don't want a long walk in an unfamiliar city in uncertain weather.

if i do take the bus, how far will i be from the hyatt when they let me off? i have a notoriously bad sense of direction, and if i can't see the hotel from the stop, i'm likely to be wandering around auckland in a jet-lagged haze with my rollaboard. (on the upside, unlike when this happens in china, i can actually ask people for directions and understand the answer! :D)

suggestions?

You will have a short walk. You will not see the hotel from the stop. Hyatt (http://www.wotif.com/hotel/View?hotel=W2583&page=1&viewType=all) is on Princess Street. Click thru to map after selecting Hyatt. Airbus route here (http://www.airbus.co.nz/cheap-airport-bus-transfer/169/Times+and+Prices.aspx). You will need to get off & on at stop 3 or 5. Note the 2 maps are 90° to each other (not pointing tha same way)
