I really need your help with what looks to be a substantial challenge. I live in NC, and am willing to fly from any airport regionally within reason to make DL Plat (for the 4th year running) for next year. International travels have been lower this year, but will be HUGE for me for next year, ergo the need for maintaining status. I'll be at 45k by next week, but need to be at 75k by the end of the year.

I can fly most any late Thurs PM - early Mon AM and completely anytime after 12 Dec. Domestic or International MR, or a RTW, if the price is right. I'm trying to get this done for under $1500 A/I. I'm willing to go anywhere and am used to travelling for long long periods straight. One big trip, a couple or a few trips, lotsa little bitty cheap ones, I'm up for anything..... Can it be done?

Any ideas or suggestions will be most welcome. I know that a not-insignficant amount of scratch will go into achieving this goal, but it is pretty critical considering what I have lined up for 2008.

GSO-LAS trips have been at around $180 for the past couple of months and continue for the next few months...brings in a good handful of MQMs and miles plus an entertaining MR! I have to admit, it was better during the SiteSeer/Amex promo from which we're still waiting on the double miles bonus.

You could have done a WAS-HNL roundtrip this AM for 248.00 RT no advance purchase and no min stay. It died around 1pm.

I would keep an eye on the HNL fares they have been popping up the last 72 hrs but only lasting a few hrs.

Don't forget that you can fly NW and earn EQMs and CO for 50% EQMs on low fares. You could then do a WAS-CVG-ATL-PBI RT and then tag in some of those NW deals with PBI-HOU-EWR-MSP-SJC all for under $200 both trips..

Many other thoughts but remember codeshare and skyteam partner flights.

If ATL is a reasonable distance to you, TYS might offer you a good opportunity. On NWA, you can get a good run going TYS-MEM-DTW-LAX-DTW-MEM-TYS all throughout Nov/Dec for $194ish AI. This routing will give you 6212 EQM. Five of these RTs won't even top $1K.. unless of course you want to do overnights, but even then, should keep you well under $1500.
