According to Finnair´s on-line timetable there will be
new AY flights to MOW in the afternoon starting from next summer schedule
AY155 HEL 1700 SVO 1945
AY156 SVO 2030 HEL 2120.
Unfortunately, the return flight does not offer good connections apart from those to domestic destinations and Arlanda and Tallinn.
With the current AY and SU codeshare flights there will be three daily flights.

Those would be Airbus flights, right? Still no sign of completely new destinations in the summer 08 schedule?

Nope. Just to Seoul. Currently the flights to Dublin and Edinburgh and Nuremberg don't seem to return. The fourth flight to Munich will be postponed to next spring and the second flight to Geneva starts later than planned (difficulties with Embraers?). The flights to Lisbon will be reduced to just twice a week during the dark time of the year. Surprinsingly, Bucharest will get an additional weekly flight during the winter period. But no new destinations next summer until so far.

Thanks for the information, nordic
Dublin and Edinburgh are accessible by so many LCCs (Aer Lingus, Air Berlin etc.) and pseudo-LCCs (KLM) from HEL that it might be wise to cut them if no J offered to attract biz pax.
Nuremberg and other German cities need at least two dailies to be succesful as discussed before. But if EK can conquer much of the ex-Germany SE Asian market by flying widebodies to regional airports then AY should be able to the same for China, Japan and Korea.
Germany - Asia could be the biggest market for AY if done right, the London bankers will remain in a segment above AY for the most part.
As for Bucharest, AY possibly benefits from the OS route closures in Asia-Pacific.

Thanks for the news. ^
It seems from Expertflyer that the morning 153/154 will be on the Airbus, and the evening 155/156 will be on the Embraer.
In any event, it's great to have more choice of time on the route, esopecially more connections from W. Europe, to connect to the 1700 departure to SVO.
Also of note - the 153/154 become daily flights (they don't current operate on Sundays).
