I will be flying PHL-FRA(US)-OSL(LH)-AES(SK) [identical itin on return] in Y with checked luggage.
1. Will my bags check through or need I retrieve and recheck at each stop?
2. Is it possible to stay within security the entire way or need I exit and reenter?
3. I'm a US2/*A Gold which grants me outbound access to the US Envoy lounge; what, if any, lounges will I have access to in FRA, OSL and AES?
4. Finally any miscellaneous tips, tricks or landmines to look out for would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Marc

Looks like a very brave choice of travel plans....
Given they are all *A, they should be able to direct them to the final destination if its all on one ticket. I defer to other experts, but I think it should be fine.

Your luggage should be checked through to your final destination. I have never been to Oslo airport, however I know you will need to clear security and passport control in Frankfurt. However, since you have entered the Schengen area (An area of Europe without passport or customs controls), you should not have to go through Passport Control again in OSL.
Depending on the gate you are connecting to, you may even have to clear security twice. I don't know if you will be able to use priority security lines in FRA.
I have usually found that security in FRA is intrusive, but professional. They will usually demand that you placce your passport, watch, wallet, and any type of jacket through the x-ray.

In summer 2003 I traveled all around Norway for nearly 3 weeks. I took a lot of domestic flights and learned after the first one that showing up at the airport 60 minutes before departure found me to be the only one in the terminal (AES included). Most passengers showed up 30 minutes or so before the flight. Many of the domestic flights didn't have security screening; the checkpoints were in the terminal, but closed. We just walked around them and went directly to the gate. However, upon arrival into OSL anyone with an onward connection was sent through security screening. Domestic SK service was all open seating. Coffee/Tea and ice cream were served on all flights.

There is--as explained to me by the platinum desk and confirmed by online chat--an issue with USAirways.com that does not allow you to access a reservation via confirmation number when an LH connection is on the ticket--I do not know if it is specific to an LH connection or any international connection. As such, one cannot use OLCI and must check in at the airport.
