Not a "pure" MR, but all your flyertalkers inspired me to take a very circuitous route to Bali and back. It's a DL flight.

Since this flight was free (bought with Delta credit from a flight I booked and canceled using TYP fixed flight redemption before they instituted price caps), I guess it's $0.00 EQM :) It would have been around $1800 if I had to pay for it.

The KUL-DPS-KUL legs aren't on Delta, but oh well. I'm doing this more for vacation than anything else.

ICN - one 12-hour layover and 1 6-hour layover, so plenty of time to get out of the airport and play.

KUL - spending two nights there

DPS - spending 5 nights here

HNL - six hours. Just enough time to meet my friend for brunch on the beach, maybe dip my foot into the ocean.

Yaaay, my first MR!

Is this in Y? Waaaay expensive in that case...

But enjoy your trip... :)

You're right, the fare is ridiculously expensive--it's all in coach. Tangentially MR though, I guess, since I got it for free thanks to strategies I learned from flyertalk.

It's a nice itinerary balancing vacation time and EQMs, for those who took advantage of the Citi TYP fixed flight redemption into flight credit thing that happened in May and thus have a few thousand dollars to spend on Delta flights. From what I could tell on the Citi TYP devaluation threads, there were quite a few who ended up with lots of Delta credit.

Excited to make my first MR, even though it really isn't at an MR-worthy price!

From ICN, It takes about 1~1.5 hours to get into SEOUL downtown from ICN.
NEVER take the train, it is not completed yet. It will take you far end corner of the seoul.
Take KAL Limousin bus going to Westin hotel. Get some tour info from the hotel desk. They are usually helpful.
I'm assuming you are on DL's codeshare flight operated by Korean Air.
so buy limousin bustickets onboard, it's littlebit cheaper.

have fun.`
