Flying 3 times with Air Baltic and 3 times with Norwegian within a month has convinced me that Northern Europe has the best and the worst in low cost air travel, with Air Baltic unfortunately being the worst. Changing flight times without warning, poor service, self centered flight attendants appearing in awe of being in a smart uniform, not to mention an appalling and dangerously misleading online reservation system.

One example on a flight between Vilnius and Brussels was the cordoning off of 6 rows of a totally empty "business class" (not ONE passenger, same 6 abreast seating, same seats, same pitch) while the flock of us were cramming every single seats behind. Any question of "why?" elicited at best a dumb look.

It is ironical that in these changing times when Aeroflot has become an excellent airline within Skyteam, Air Baltic's motto could be "Kak vo vremya Sovyetskovo Soyuza" which translates as "Just like in the good ol' times of the Soviet Union".
