I just booked a flight to BOM via MXP through a travel agent and I noticed that I was seated in business class for the 1st segment of the flight. I am on a discounted economy ticket. Has this happened to anyone before or do you think it's a mistake? I am wary to contact the agent should it be the latter. Thanks

it could be a mistake then, but usually it gets corrected at check-in.
assigned seat is not guaranteed and so when the checkin agent will see you hold an Y ticket, you will likely be moved
