I had some sticker shock when I looked at flights from Prague to Salzburg, so may end of driving, but....

I am putting together an itinerary and am wondering if anyone would direct me to discount carriers that fly from Prague to either Budapest or Salzburg? I’d be looking for one-way. Thanks very much, J.

AFAIK there are no flights between the two - try the train instead unless you fancy flying to a 3rd airport then flying to Salzburg

Thanks, bigbald, at 75 Euros per tix it's just great. Only problem is that the booking engine won't let you go past a couple of months, so I'd have to make plans and assume that the airline is still around. Have you flown them?

Smartwings will be around, they are the low cost subsidiary of CSA - Czech Airlines:) I however was never on their planes, my cousin was though. It's just like any other no-frills airline.

Minor correction: SmartWings are NOT subsidiary of the CSA Czech Airlines. Two completely different and unrelated entities.

Czech Airlines is one of the oldest airlines with decent inflight service on their short haul flights. ^:)

SmartWings are a bad joke, a parody of low-cost airline. Infamous for frequent cancellations without prior notice and huge delays. Avoid them if you can. :td::mad:

I knew that CSA was considering buying smartwings, I guess that fell through. I was under the impression that they where under the same umbrella. After a little research it seems like travel service is going to be bought by icelandair group...
