Hello fellow FT's,

Will be going down to WAS for a Redskins game on 23/09/07. Looking for a decent hotel to spend a couple of nights, will be flying in on satuday for the sunday game. We like to go out and party on saturday night, so any suggestions will be apreciated.

Thank you all.

If you want to stay close to Fedex Field, the Greenbelt Marriott is a great location.

If you want to party, the Wardman Park Marriott is just off Connecticut Avenue (with some fine restaurants close by), and it's a short walk into the Adams-Morgan neighborhood with lots of eating and drinking spots. You can then take Metro out to the game and avoid the cost of parking.

Thanks Annandaler, any good *Wood properties around the party area?
I guess I could always hope for an upgrade as Gold. Also how much would cab from the airport (DCA) be?
Thanks again

I don't follow *wood so I can't help there.

A taxi from DCA to the Woodley Park area (where the Marriott Wardman Park hotel is) shouldn't be more than $20-$25, but I can't be sure. You can easily take the subway (Metro) from DCA to the "Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams-Morgan" station and walk a block or two to the Marriott. A fast and cheap ride.

Thanks againStay out of DC taxis unless you are prepared to be ripped off royally!

DC taxis do not use meters; they charge under an arcane set of zone rules that even most locals cannot fathom. Also, depending on the time of day, Metro can be faster than sitting in traffic - it's one of the few things that works well in DC.

Well, I've been offered an incredible deal at the Fairmont, so the fairmont it is.
What's the best way to get to FED EX field?

Thank you all

Fairmont is lovely - great location in the West End, just a few blocks walk into Georgetown. And we love their Sunday Brunch.

Best way to FedEx? Take Metro subway (http://www.redskins.com/fedexfield/directions.jsp) Blue line to Morgan Boulevard and walk 20 minutes to the stadium.

Enjoy your visit.

Thank you, will probably leave early for the game (since the game is at 1625) and tailgate instead ^
