That's not the only spammer selling this stuff by a long chalk..I'm sure that most of your personal information has been sold, if it's in India...
I get 10 telemarketing calls a day...and mostly when roaming out of India! :eek:
I now try not to answer calls, but request my office to call the number back to find out who was calling!!

This is troubling. I'm trying to figure out options here. I guess as a minimum, one should assume websites and databases of Indian carriers could be insecure and give minimal or protected information (FF Program specific emails, etc.). The problem is that airlines have your passport, data of birth data - hopefully they protect that more securely.

A lot of data theft in India goes on thanks to three things.
1. Bent employees selling databases
2. Poorly designed website / network with security holes
3. A lot of companies (especially banks selling loans and credit cards) tend to market aggressively, and often hire "direct sales agents" - subcontractors whose only job is to get leads - no questions asked on how they get these leads. That's the single worst part of the problem.
