Does anyone know what the differences are in economy for the 9W aircraft types 738 and 73H? The 738 is between GOI-BOM so I'm assuming its the regular 737-800 with 24 seats in Premiere like its always been. Is the 73H (showing between BOM-DEL) the internationally-configured 738 with 16 seats in Premiere or the 738 without Premiere?

I've been on brand new 9W 738s with leather seats in an all Y config. Perhaps it such a layout?

We've been BOM-DEL-BOM (in Y) with Premiere config (didn't count how many though!)...

The new all leather seat full Y config birds are 739s I think? Anyway they only run those on night flights as far as I am aware, not on peak business traveler times (morning or evening flights)

Yeah, they have 738s in an all Y config. I checked a couple of flights on expertflyer (too bad it doesn't show seatmaps) and they seem to have a bunch of different configs between BOM and DEL.

73G is their regular 737-700 with Club Premiere - I've flown on this before.
739 is obviously a 737-900 with Club Premiere
738 is their regular 737-800 with Club Premiere - I've flown on this before.

I just checked the BOM-SIN sector and its showing 73H, so thats the one with internationally-configured 16 seats in Club Premiere.

So this raises a new question - whats the 73W (which also has a Club Premiere cabin)?

Excuse the formatting :o

The new all leather seat full Y config birds are 739s I think? Anyway they only run those on night flights as far as I am aware, not on peak business traveler times (morning or evening flights)I have flown this leather config (new, with AVOD) in both J & Y on the BOM-AMD flights (late evening/night), which I think come in from MAA (FA's reported)

However, note that they seem to be reconfiguring some Premiere (and I guess Y) seats, with the most difference being J, where there are "new"? seats with cylindrical support frames (exposed at the bottom), and which have a thinner rear back, with the seat that actually seems to collapse downward (it became an issue with my seatmate on a flight recently) in order to simulate extra legroom, by moving your thighs (and therefore, your knees & legs) upward...also more pitch appeared to available....

Oh, and today on a HYD-BOM sector, it was the horrible old J class, with minimal legroom and thick seatbacks!

Savage, usually on the BOM-DEL sectors they have the new J configuration, so you should be very comfortable, I trust! ^

I just checked the BOM-SIN sector and its showing 73H, so thats the one with internationally-configured 16 seats in Club Premiere.Forget about getting this aircraft on a domestic sector, unless there are severe operational problems with the other aircraft! :p :D

So this raises a new question - whats the 73W (which also has a Club Premiere cabin)? As per my old notes:

"800w (15/16/(non-reclining) 17 EmerExit)"

(I use this info to block the economy seats - I think this has 3 rows with emergency exits, but I may have made a mistake - just confirmed with 9w on the telephone (no guarantee) that it is "winglet" series, with (14?)/15/16 (all-non reclining) with 17 emergency exit, reclining))

As per 9w, there are 5 types of "winglet" (last row mentioned is the one that reclines):

737-800 winglet: 28 CP, 126 Y, Emergency exits: Rows 14 (non-reclining) | 15 (reclining)
737-800 winglet: Full Y aircraft, Emergency exits: Rows 15/16 | 17.
737-800 winglet: Full Y aircraft, Emergency exits: Rows 14/15 | 16
737-800 winglet: 16 CP, 124 Y, Emergency exits: Rows 15/16 | 17.
737-800 winglet: AVOD, 24 CP, 126 Y. Emergency exits: Rows 14/| 15.

I gather that you have flown this sector now and can enlighten us.

Edited to Add (among other things above): You had a very good chance to get the AVOD flight - so let us know!
