I believe this is for the fleet service workers, not the actual mechanics.

The mechanics (and perhaps fleet) have actually forced US into arbitration over a "change in control" clause in their bankruptcy-era contract. Short version: upon a "change in control" wages and some other things "snap back" to pre-BK levels to a certain extent.

US did not show for the first arbitration, and then ran back into bankruptcy court trying to avoid it--the IAM sued in federal court, won, and the gist is that it will be arbitrated in the fall. US is claiming that what happened in the merger does not constitute a "change in control."

As a result, I'd imagine nothing happens with the actual mechanics until after that arbitration, because if the mechs win, they end up with an enormous amount of leverage in any future negotiations.

Correct it is Fleet Service & fyi CLT is a solid NO vote.
