In looking at the US award chart, a *A partner airline FC or BC award seat in North America are both 50K.

I tried booking a FC UA p.s. flight a while ago but had no luck (although the UA site said there was availability) but my dates were not flexible so I did a different route.

The 2 of these made me start thinking if you can actually book a FC seat on a p.s flight or any 3 class UA flight.

Has anyone done this? If so was it really 50K?

According to ANA, p.s. F awards book for 60k, C books for 40k and Y books for 25K. Looks like C availability is sparse...

Hopes this helps...

I'd never considered this, but p.s. would be a good use of miles for domestic travel. Eager to hear the answer.

If your choice is between 50k for standard award (or even 37.5k for combo) 40k for transcon business isn't that bad. I flew transcon f in 2003/2004 for 40k on dl. Given the devaluation of ff miles recently, it can't be that bad. Additionally, ua ps hard and soft product are pretty good.
