I have an award booking for SIN-BKK (TG) BKK-BLR (TG) BLR-SIN (SQ). the agent says that this will be a paper ticket. I thot all * members could issue etix on routes that the operating carrier had an etix.

US did not do e-ticketing with TG as of last year. With the recent code-share agreement with SQ, I suspect that the TG segments are what is causing your ticket to go paper. SQ operates BKK-NRT non-stop in addition to BKK-SIN. You might try changing your routing to avoid the TG metal and get an e-ticket that way.

US also does not do etickets with SQ. I have a mixed US/SQ itinerary and US had to issue paper tickets and that was the reason cited.

I first asked them Jan 2007 and asked again a couple of days ago if they ever started issuing etickets with SQ. If they did, I had planned on asking them if I could exchange my paper tickets to etickets, but since they claimed they still don't it was a moot point.

US generally has to issue paper tickets for *A travel. Recently they've finally got it figured out with LH and can now issue e-tickets.

That list is a lot shorter than I would have hoped.
Out of curiosity, which Island Air is this? The Hawaiian one or the one in the eastern Caribbean?

Looking at the list it appears that most of them are the ones that HP had prior to the merger. Based on that I would guess that the Island Air they are referring to is the one in Hawaii.

Update: US can now issue tickets on SQ as eticket, just booked one. I changed my flights to only SQ.

Additionally, Lufthansa should be added to that list. I recently completed an LH itinerary that was all e-tickets books with US miles.
