Just had a look at MAN - PHL

it was supposed to depart at 10.55am UK time, and it is now 4.00pm UK time, and it has either only just departed, or is still on the tarmac at Manchester

is there anyway i can find out why it has been delayed so much

(mainly because i'm flying on that flight in about a month!)

Editing to say, it eventually departed at 4.11pm UK time. 5 hours 16 minutes late!!!!

I would guess it was weather (which was pretty bad yesterday in PHL by all reports). The inbound left PHL at 1:48 am this morning and arrived in MAN about 1:30.

As to why it has been delayed so much, it should be clear that US has been having problems with the transatlantic operation all summer. Throw in a thunderstorm or three and things, which aren't great to begin with, get worse. Maybe by mid-September they will have worked out these issues.

Me too! I will be flying Man-Phl on 9/11 so hope things are better at that time.
