Try H**wire.com, H*tels.com and perhaps even contact your local AAA office to see if they have anything going. There are summer specials. You should expect to pay at least $200 or more like $300 per night for a pretty crappy experience in Manhattan. Decent hotels start at around $400. It's called a supply and demand imbalance...

Most decent hotels are going for 400 dollars, it also depends on what neighborhood you want to stay in?
